Hand-carved in the mountains of Western North Carolina, each dough bowl is a one-of-a-kind piece crafted using traditional Appalachian woodworking techniques.
Originally used for mixing bread dough and preparing family meals, dough bowls have been a staple of mountain homes for generations. Today, they are equally at home serving food, displaying seasonal decor, holding fruit, or becoming a treasured heirloom passed from one generation to the next.
This bowl is carved from wild cherry. Natural variations in grain, color, knots, and markings are part of what makes each piece unique.
